Frequently asked questions regarding our New Volunteer Database:
Q: Why is there a New Volunteer Database?
A: We outgrew the old one and the New Volunteer Database will allow us to better manage volunteer projects.
Q: If I’m a current YVC Volunteer do I need to sign myself up again?
A: Yes, all current volunteers will need to sign themselves up again on the New Volunteer Database. After May 1, 2012 we will no longer be using the current volunteer database.
Q: Do I need to re-submit a Parental Consent Form?
A: No, if you’ve already submitted a Parental Consent Form you will not need to submit another one. Sign up on the New Volunteer Database and we will approve your profile. Only new volunteers need to submit a Parental Consent Form.
Q: Will my hours transfer over?
A: Yes, once we approve your profile on the New Volunteer Database we will make note of your previous hours and the projects you volunteered on.
Q: The New Volunteer Database asks if I have an existing account with myvolunteerpage.com, what does that mean?
A: Most YVC volunteers will not have a pre-existing account with mvolunteerpage.com. Simply select “no” and complete the application. Some volunteers may have a pre-existing account but will likely be aware of it.
