TD YOUTH EARTH AMBASSADORS
The TD Youth Earth Ambassador (YEA) is an opportunity for environmentally conscious youth to come up with new ways of promoting positive, environmental change within Calgary. Each year the YEA committee will propose and select projects that they feel are relevant, will raise awareness, and create a tangible impact.
HOW IT WORKS
The TD Youth Earth Ambassadors is a committee of 8-10 environmentally conscious youth between the ages of 12-18. The committee meets twice a month to work on different projects and events that will promote positive environmental change in Calgary. For the past three years, the committee has entered their projects in Green Calgary’s Energy Revolution Fair. Applications for the youth members of the YEA Steering Committee are available in August/September and are selected in October of each year.

IT’S A VEGAN VALENTINES!
On February 15, 2020 Youth Central’s TD Youth Earth Ambassadors hosted “It’s a Vegan Valentines”! It was a fun afternoon learning about sustainable eating and making changes that can benefit our environment. Each participant had the opportunity to be mentored by a professional chef to learn how to prepare a sustainable meal. Check out the Cook Book that came out of the event:
