Volunteering isn’t just about helping others—it’s about growing, learning, and having fun. Here’s why you should jump in:
1. Create a Profile: This is your first step into the world of volunteering. Provide some background information and get a parent or guardian to sign the waiver. Click here to create a profile.
2. Get Approved: When you have submitted all your information, it will take two business days for your application to be reviewed. You’ll receive an email when your profile is approved.
3. Find a Project: Check out the “Opportunities” tab on your profile. Browse through projects and find the ones that interest you.
4. Sign Up: Once you find a project you like, click to “Sign Up”. Then wait up to two business days for this to show up on your Assignments tab.
5. Get Ready: Your Team Leader will reach out about five days prior to the start of your project. They’ll send you details about what to bring, what to wear, and where to go. You just need to figure out how to get there. Need a Youth Central t-shirt? Just ask your Team Leader!

A no-show means you didn’t give at least 72 hours’ notice for a project you confirmed. This will be noted on your profile, and having too many no-shows can lead to being denied references or having your account suspended. Check out our Volunteer Code of Conduct for more info.
