Meet Our New YVC Team Leaders

Meet Our New YVC Team Leaders

We’re thrilled to introduce this summer’s incredible YVC Team Leads! These leaders play a key role at Youth Central by guiding volunteer projects and creating a welcoming environment for everyone involved. Passionate, dedicated, and full of energy, our Team Leads are here to make volunteering meaningful and fun. Whether they are organizing events or cheering you on during a shift, they’re at the heart of the Youth Volunteer Corps.

Keep reading to meet each of our Team Leads in their own words—and we’ll see you at a project soon!

Hi! My name is Makayla and my pronouns are she/her. I am majoring in Law and Society at the University of Calgary with a minor in Indigenous Studies. This summer I am looking forward to being a part of Youth Central, by standing alongside students as they discover their leadership potential and what sparks their interest! I look forward to the relationship building that is to come over the next couple of months.
