New Conference Invests in Youth as Community Builders

Thanks to support from Calgary Foundation, Youth Central is launching a new, one-day conference grounded in a simple belief: youth can, should and do make their communities better. Designed to serve as a springboard for the next generation of community builders, the conference brings together youth who are already showing up and making a difference in Calgary and Airdrie.

On Saturday, February 7, youth who are currently registered in the Youth Volunteer Corps can join us at the MacEwan Hall Conference and Event Centre at the University of Calgary. The day will offer what youth consistently tell us they want most: meaningful learning and the chance to connect with like-minded peers and level-up their impact.

Participants will enjoy interactive workshops, talks, and hands-on activities that build leadership skills, deepen community awareness and strengthen peer connections.

The conference will wrap up with a celebration recognizing the contributions youth are making across Calgary.

Youth Central is committed to accessibility. Financial support is available if cost is a barrier to participation. Full event details, including how to register and request support, are available here.
