Youth Central Receives Accountability Award from the Calgary Drop-In Centre

How do youth volunteer in Calgary?

Conscientiously! In other words, done with effort and intention.

Youth Central won the Group category for the Accountability Award at the Drop-In Centre’s Orange Brunch on April 16th.

“The accountability award recognizes volunteers who are among our most conscientious. They always operate with transparency and integrity in both their relationship and our commitments.”

Youth Central volunteers stand out because they are energetic and excited to make a difference. By working with amazing local agencies like the Calgary Drop-In Centre, we set youth up with relevant and flexible opportunities to get involved. Through our programs, they are encouraged to try new things, discover passions, build skills, and meet new people. We empower youth to find and build their communities. Since April 2022, Youth Central volunteers have dedicated 750 hours to supporting the Drop-In Centre.

We were honoured to receive this award during National Volunteer Week – and we are proud to be a part of the incredible community that is building community in Calgary!
