YVC School Clubs

Access support and resources for your school’s student volunteer club

Your school
+ Youth Central
= Elevated Volunteering

The Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) School Clubs give you the support and resources you need to kick-start a successful volunteer club in your school.

Expert guidance

A Youth Central coordinator is in your corner guiding you through what it takes to set up your volunteer club for success.

Volunteer resources

In addition to expert guidance, access Youth Central’s network of 140+ community partners.

Funding opportunities

Get access to grants that can support your volunteer club’s own projects.

Meet & learn

Meet members from other Youth Central School Clubs and learn tips and tricks that helped their clubs succeed.

Earn certificates and references

After completing 5+ hours of volunteering, club members will receive a volunteer certificate. After 20+ hours, we can write a reference letter upon request.

What’s the commitment

Form your team

Find a club structure that works for you, but we’ve found the best structure has at least four student leaders in addition to general members.

  • In School Coordinator
  • Out of School Coordinator
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
Motivate and coordinate

As student leaders, motivate your club members to sign up for projects and make sure they have all the info they need.

What’s it like?

Give back to your school

As a team, identify how you can give back to your school community. Start a new volunteer project or lend a hand where support is already needed.

Work on a Youth Central project

Every two months, your club can volunteer at one of Youth Central’s out-of-school projects. As a club, you’ll have the opportunity to give back to another community and try something new.

Show up for each other and your community

Meet with your club and give back to the community. Have fun while doing great work with your team.

FAQ

Youth Central will collect your hours and provide you with a reference letter (upon request) once you complete 20 hours of volunteer work. Your projects will be organized by your student leaders, who will also be your main point of contact.

When you sign up for an out-of-school volunteer project hosted by Youth Central, we expect you to follow the same Volunteer Code of Conduct

Yes! If you see a need for a volunteer club at your school, we encourage you to start one. Your school volunteer club would focus on issues related to your school and surrounding community.
